Fenway Knucklh-ED

Ok, as you already know, we have a situation here. Fenway Ed's roster is ILLEGAL due to having too many reserve pitchers. This would give Tallcorn Cobras an automatic 10-0 win. We have heard complaints on the comment boards(amazing when complaining GM's don't mind a tweak if it's helping out their own cause), and I have talked to T-Dub, who suggested we give Fenway Ed a little help.

I talked to Fenway Ed, and he said that he executed a trade with The SwinGERS yesterday, not knowing it would go into effect immediately (as it did). To me, this is an extenuating circumstance and because of that, I am going move Andrew Bailey from reserve to active (thus, making Fenway Ed's team legal again).

Right now, as a result of the trade, his 3rd base spot is vacant as a result of that same trade. I am inclined to leave it vacant (the intent is and should be to get Year2000! to legal status so he doesn't incur a 10-0 loss). His team will be legal even if third base is vacant. The issue was too many reserve players that made it illegal.

What does everyone think?

Wade just texted me, he's blocked from viewing the blog so any correspondance will be sent to him by e-mail (since he is the team that is playing Year 2000! this week).

I am not complaining by any means, but last week he had the same issue with only 2 relief pitchers active. You can check the box score to see this.

Can the league address this as well?

My question is for the league...

Can you start less than the 17 players?

(yes it would be nice to go 10-0, but I am not that much of a dick to cause a ruckus)

Just to clarify a rule...

To answer on what you did PG, I am 100% fine with that, and I think I answered my own question that you can start less than 17 players.

I think the Commish is making the right call here. From my conversation with Fenway Ed, it was only a misunderstanding due to the SwinGERS executing the trade offer on Monday afternoon and Fenway ED not realizing it was executed until Monday night (after roster lockdown).

Which brings one other league rule into question, isn't there a 24-hour waiting period on trades where the rest of the league can offer a veto option, if need be?

Fenway Ed told me he didn't think the trade would take effect until the following scoring period, hence his incomplete roster. I am okay with giving him a pass this time, although this should be warning for everyone else in the league, right?

And like T-Dub needs any assistance. Guys got a horseshoe up his ass....all those hardees sandwiches!

Now, of course if it was me playing Fenway Ed this week I would say tough shit...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA

If my accepting the trade messed things up, I do apologize.

3K is correct, there is a 24 hour waiting period (and I thought it was activated in the settings). Let me take a look at that.

I can't really add anything of value as I've spent the last 2 days watching the grainy yet FABULOUS Erin Andrews video!

If doing so makes me a creep, then so be it!

Sorry guys. I was not trying to pull a fast one (have you seen my record this year?). I appreciate the leniency. To answer Yankee Mike's comment, I left the RP spot open last week because I thought you have to have a minimum number of IP each week, which I knew I would. My only other RP has had a WHIP of 2.00 for the last month it seems so I said, screw it until I could swing the trade. Again thanks everyone for the understanding. Hopefully we get the 24 hour window issue resolved.

As for the link - don't post it as ESPN is aggressively pursuing anyone who does since it appears a crime was committed in taping it. Now if you emailed it, that would be another matter. Not that I condone it, I'm just saying...

As said in my text to ya PG, make him whole.

To clarify, I did send the note before I had heard anything from anyone - I said to get him fixed before, and its an honest mistake after hearing the story now.

Jeez ... Rockpile ... that's on me, dude. That's gotta sting not getting a sniff of the power rankings.

Actually would've been funnier if I had left you out on purpose.
