3K Tuesday

With the big trade that went down 2 days ago, and team owners looking to position themselves for the stretch run, as well as 2010, is there anyone out there that will be looking to enter into the trade market or are the majority of you content with just scraping arms and bats off the scrap heap?

Now that we're pretty much at the half-way point who are your biggest surprises on your respective team, and your biggest disappointments? For instance, who is the guy that you assumed to just be the rock in your organization, you signed him to a 3-year deal and now you're trying to figure out why you're still allowing him to flounder on your bench.

I'll start: I have to say that Chien-Ming Wang has to be my biggest disappointment. I got him locked in to next season as well! I also thought Conor Jackson was going to take the next step in his career, but instead he's been hampered by the oddest illness known to man??

Come on, start some discussions before the Commish decides to shut-us down just for spite. A little housekeeping....has the commish collected monies from everyone? Anyone who hasn't sent their league entry money in should be shut down on transactions until they get their money in -- team should be frozen! It's unacceptable you deadbeats!

My biggest disappointment thus far has been J.J. Hardy. If I ever see that guy out on the street, rest assured I will give him a piece of my mind.

In terms of the housekeeping issues, I have the checks (not all) in hand and am going to open an account today. As soon as I get the confirmation stuff from the bank, I will e-mail everyone account numbers/etc. As far as the people who haven't paid yet, I will send you follow up e-mails.

And BTW, I wouldn't shut down the site on principle. It would be shut down due to lack of interest. Why go through writing stuff when it's basically a back and forth between me and 3K? I know everyone is busy (and that's ok), but why put on an elaborate production when it's simply not needed?

I am here and ready to contribute as much as possible....

My biggest shitheads are Grady Sizemore for his first half sucking and injuries and Fausto Carmona, currently pitching in AA. Both are on 3 year deals.

I am looking into the trade market now, so I am open to reasonable offers. Everyone is available. I am like the Knicks looking forward to the big free agents next year...

I'm also very interested in tweaking my roster for the stretch run and hope to find a dance partner in the next week or two.

Clearly my biggest disappointments have been Geovany Soto (fat and high), Carlos Quintin (hurt) and Chris Davis (too swingie). Fortunately Soto is only locked in for 1 year but I have Davis for 3.

Pablo Sandoval has been my biggest surprise and the 1st half MVP of Team Longhorn.

Describing a player on your team as "fat and high" is priceless.

I would of said my biggest disappointment was former MVP, Jimmy Rollins but I don't have to worry about him anymore. Of course T-Dub has a clover up his ass for the first game he has Rollins he he goes 3-4. I think that is the first 3-4 for he has had all season!!!

OK, Linc, I just shot a trade to review.

My biggest Disappointment is C.C. Sabathia. Should never of drafted him that high (2nd). Knew it was a mistake when I did it. Wandy Rodriguez is having just a good of year if not better and I got him in the 25th.
My biggest surprise thus far, even though he is slumping, would be Victor Martinez. I caught alot of shit takin him in the 4th but he has been huge for me soo far. I am glad I gave him a 2 year deal instead of giving Sabathia a 3. I also like that he can play first as well...could be a plus looking ahead at next year.

Lots of disappoints on C&A this year...Liriano, Atkins, Big Papi (yes, I did expect a good year out of him) and of course, Manny.

However, Michael Young and Hunter have been able to keep the clubhouse sane over the course of the first half.

Where do I start? Morrow? Check. Nolasco? Check. Johan? Check. Harden? Check. Christ, my whole pitching staff except for Halladay and Paps for Christ's sake!

As for the offense, I knew it was going to struggle but the Ramirez twins, Hamilton, and the Orioles refusal to call up Wieters until a few weeks ago killed me.

I'm gonna stop now. I should say the whole roster is up for trade but then I will get Yankee Mike offering me his scraps for Halladay

I have already stated my whole roster is up for grabs...
