Monday Recap

A little Monday morning humor. Here's Baba Booey throwing out the first pitch at Citi Field this weekend.

Jimmy's Daddy-8
Baby Gorilla's-2

Wow, I don't know what to say, other than I got absolutely worked. Hef, you are my daddy, there, I said it. Talk about taking an absolute dump this weekend. The Gorilla's hit .064 yesterday while the Daddy's showed total power down the stretch. What makes it even worse is that the Daddy's single-handedly catipulted themselves into first place of PG East and kicked PG into the cellar. It's a sad day in Mudville.

Client #9-6
Cornholers-4

The Fighting Spitzers couldn't quite make it to the top slot of PG East, but summarily disposed of the Cornholers. The Cornholers made it a game at the end, picking up one category from Gut Check Friday, but it wasn't enough to get him out of the cellar of PG West. I will say this...Client #9 is probably the most balanced team in the league. How is T-Dub holding this team off?

Hoosier Heat-9
Year2000!-1

The only thing that helps me accept the fact that I'm in last place is knowing that Fenway Ed lost by a score of 9-1. Probably the hardest part for Year2000! is that it was actually a pretty close game. Mr. Hackman put together a very good week, both on the mound and at the plate. Simply put, he was just a little better than Fenway Ed.

The Rockpile-6
Lawndale Longhorns-2
Tied-2

Big week for Rocky Mike, as he picks up his first weekly win of the season. Equally more impressive was the 12 stolen bases swiped by The Rockpile (Coco Crisp and Carl Crawford garnering 11 of the 12). The highly touted Longhorns drop a big matchup here, and hover at the bottom of PG East (above yours truly, of course).

Clark & Addison-6
The SwinGERS-3
Tied-1

The final score of the batting average category is indicitive of the overall matchup here. Clark & Addison finished at .3023 and The SwinGERS checked in at .3021. For what it's worth, The Ger should be proud that he made up so much ground. And the damage was limited, as he is only a half game back of PG East. Meanwhile, Clark & Addison remains in the three way horse race for PG East supremacy (1.5 games back).

Tallcorn Cobras-7
CO Yankees-1
Tied-2

I previously asked how T-Dub could be leading PG West. They're dominating, that's how. And this week was no different. The Cobras belted out an astonishing 21 home runs, 59 RBI's and posted a 2.38 ERA all in the same week. In Yankee Mike's defense, he didn't have that bad of a week. But when you're up against a juggernaut like T-Dub, a 7-1 drubbing is going to happen.

This weeks matchups-
Jimmy's Daddy at Client #9
The SwinGERS at Year2000!
Clark & Addison at Cornholers
The Rockpile at Hoosier Heat
Lawndale Longhorns at Tallcorn Cobras
Baby Gorillas at CO Yankees

Come on, 3K, hang in there. I'm in the same position as you and I'm not giving up.

Client #9 is good. I'll just sit in 1st place and consider myself lucky, I guess. Hopefully its not all luck that my boys are pounding the ball and my pitchers are solid, but its certainly a possibility. The tide can always turn, and if on paper #9 is considerably better, I'll just hope to stay "lucky".

I sure don't remember this kind of trash outta Hef last year, but boy did he entertain this past week ... evidently he enjoys the position he's in, just relentless on PG's battered squad. Is there a light at the end of the tunnel, PG?

Great work on FaFaFlo-hi ... classic.

Amazing how quiet new linc has gotten since the season started. Reminds me of Joey Porter in the 'phins 1-15 campaign in '07 ... jawin' like a motha in pre-season, even up to pre-game of the opening weekend ... and then, whammy, he realizes what is happening before wk 1 ends. Playin' in a league of gentlemen my friend, it ain't the high school boys you diddle with on ISU recruiting trips.

Let's do this ... I'm thinking about a summer home in Lawndale, perhaps I'll run for Mayor there.

Oooooh lookie! T-Dub is feeling chatty!

I WAS (key word) going to treat you with nothing but kindness and respect this week.

Obviously the Porter reference changed all that despite A) like Porter my team plays better when angry, and B) I too would like to show ESPN NFL beat reporter Rachel Nickles my pork sword.

T-Dub, by this time next week my new nickname will be Moses because I'm gonna part your teams ass cheeks like the red sea!

P.S. I always find your homosexual slams to be a bit disingenuous because they are coming from a man who treats my brothers anus like a peep hole! Funny how every time I see the two of you together his farts smell like your breath.

Don't know how to top that last exchange.

Big week for the 2000!s as I have 10 starts (could be 12 if Masterson wasn't sucking so hard) and made some changes to the line-up. Ger I hope you are ready - tonight I will be mixing in some Fantasy trash talk with my observations on the Hawks!

I don't know what I'm looking forward to more, Lance Berkman bombing 5 HRs and 20 RBIs this week (now that I sat him) or the back-and-forth between TDub and NewLinc. Lets get it on!!!!

Love the Monday heat coming in so early. I'm just thankful I'm out of Hef's crosshairs. I felt like a three legged dog being kicked by his owner last week.

I detected a little bitterness coming from T-Dub when talking about Client #9. T-Dub, I gave you accolades and now you're playing the Rodney Dangerfield role.

Speaking of Rodney Dangerfield, I went to the doctor last week and he told me I was overweight...I asked for a second opinion and he said, "Ok, you're ugly too".

HEY OH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HEY OH!!!!! Baby Gorillas are going to look like baby poop this week when I am done with them...

I sat Damon last week, and he earns player of the week. But it didnt matter because Tallcorn set some sort of record with that offensive performance...

Rodney Dangerfield angle gives me better bulletin board material for the clubhouse. That and newLinc's homophobic rage ...

Is it me or does anyone else feel empty when a Monday of no baseball comes around? It was difficult for me to deal with, I'm not going to lie. Special thanks to the spot start of Felipe Lopez for entertaining me in a small way, however.

What are you talking about? After last night's games I had a shutout going on the Ger. After the shellackings I took the past two weeks I am glad to feel like me team has some fire!
