Ok, guys. I hear your pleas. I feel your pain. So this is what I'm gonna do. If I can get in everyone's contract signings in, I will go ahead and begin the waiver process shortly thereafter. So go ahead and get them in.
Special thanks to 3K, Rocky Mike, and Mr. Hackman for sending in their league fees. Everybody make sure you get your checks in.

Uh no. I wanted a waiver reprieve prior to submitting contracts. The whole idea, to me, for the reprieve was to better forumulate my contract signings.
If I won't have that ability, and thus have to drop a 2-year contract player in favor of a 1-year contract (also losing 1 credit for the 2010 draft) then I would rather nix the entire idea.
You could just put your doubtful to keep players on 1 year deals and then drop those and pick up someone else..
3K, you can't have your cake and eat it too. This is the deal, take it or leave it. It negates the entire point of having a draft. You made your decisions, you must live with them.
Well I like to eat my cake. As you can tell by my last sentence I wasn't saying it had to be done. Simply, if I can't eat my cake then no one can.
I will send my contract signings in but I am against opening up the waiver wire early. In the words of our commissioner, "Live with Them"
Well ok, then. The point of having these guys locked in is you will not be able to sign a waiver pickup to 3 years (which is why I am guessing you are now against the early waiver wire activiation). It's a 3 year deal or no deal at all, right?
That's right. I realized that I might not have totally planned my draft accordingly. I don't want to sign Gary Sheffield to a 3-year contract. I would much rather drop Sheffield now, pick up Josh Anderson and sign Anderson to the 3-year contract.
Otherwise, I'm cool with not allowing the waiver wire to open. HAHAHAHAHHA
Wait a second - if we sign a guy off the waiver wire we have to sign him to a 3 year deal? What kind of logic is that?
no...any players picked up off of waivers are yours for this season only. If you'd like to re-sign him for the next 2 seasons (2010 & 2011), you can make that choice after the season and forfeit your 5th round pick in 2010
I just want to do fantasy baseball...
You guys are making this way more complicated then it has to be. In my experience, complaining always leads to a false impression of complication.
I just want to complicate the matters intensly so I can attempt to throw Bisho off his game.
D-....really. I'm gunnin' for ya!!

STAKES OFFERED!!!!!!!
I'm cool with the C-note, but what is the "wager"? What are we betting on?
And real men snuff straight. Peach..you want a Crantini with that too!!
We'd be betting on who finishes with a better record this year....
and if I recall, you were the one wearing linen pants and mandels at the Luxor pool for PG's bach party
That same guy with the linen pants pulled that stripper out of Cheetahs that trip. Great trip!
Bet is on, and everyone on this blog is witness. $100 to the team with the better record at the end of the year. Tie-breaker is head-to-head.
Actually, wrong trip. I just realized I didn't pull the stripper out of Cheetahs. It was the Brass Rail in T.O. The girl from Cheetahs kept calling me the next day....
Easy money...which is what that stripper must have been thinking as well
I got my monies worth....
